Owners Keegan and Rebecca Federal, the Captain and First Mate, will provide you and your Guests with exceptional service and create a memorable experience for you on your private charter.
Keegan is a U.S. Coast Guard licensed power boat captain (OUPV) with years of boating experience, and Rebecca is a gourmet chef and event planner.
Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, the Federals acquired the “Mary Virginia” and lived aboard for over two years cruising the SE coast.
The “Mary Virginia” – Equipment and Amenities
The ”Mary Virginia” is a 46-foot Grand Banks Classic Motor Yacht, fully-equipped for both safety and comfort.
For Safety: Equipment includes three Garmin chartplotters w/GPS, autopilot, installed and mobile VHF radios, electric and magnetic compasses, three high-capacity bilge pumps, Coast Guard approved life raft and life preservers, emergency flares, first-aid kit, LED running lights, and EPIRB, liferings, three anchors with ground tackle, twin 310 hp diesel engines w/ separate starting batteries, upper and lower helm settings, and more.
For Comfort: Three air conditioning systems, two electric heads (toilets), a gourmet chef’s galley, two fridges and a freezer, icemaker, outfitted bar, Wi-Fi, TV and entertainment center w/ CD/DVD player, Echo Dots and intercoms throughout the vessel, an 8kw generator, inverter/charger, high-capacity house batteries, separate starting batteries, LED lighting, dual fresh water pumps, hot water heater, private showers, spacious Master Stateroom with ensuite head, a collection of nautical books, v-berth forward for Crew, washer-dryer, and lounge chairs on the aft coach roof for sighting seabirds and dolphin by day and stargazing at night.
Plus: Installed on stainless steel electric davits on the stern is a 10-foot Hypalon dinghy w/20hp Yamaha outboard for gunkholing and accessing the beaches.

In 2019, they purchased the oldest residence in St. Marys, GA, built in 1801, the same year Thomas Jefferson became President, and where his Vice-President Aaron Burr took refuge while on the run after his infamous duel with Alexander Hamilton in 1804. The house, now known as The Federal Quarters, is available as a vacation rental listed on AirBnB and VRBO.
